Fitbit Charge 3 Bands
Having the Charge 3 bands is like adding another component to a fully functional fitness wearable. It seems that everyone has an app for a mobile phone and some people are on Facebook every second, so why not get one that helps you stay motivated by providing a nice little prize?

The first thing you should know about the Fitbit Charge 3 bands is that it does not seem to track steps or distance but it does provide you with heart rate, sleep, calories burned and average time spent walking or running per day. One nice feature is that you can see how much water you drink and if you have lost weight.
But what about the basic functions, how well does it work? I decided to do some basic testing. I started out with walking with the band on, then walking with it off.
And the truth of the matter is that if you are wearing the bands and don't walk or use the phone calls, you won't see any changes in your heart rate or calorie burn. But it is great to know that you can wear them while walking and also when you are sleeping.
The Fitbit Charge HR bands display step count, the heart rate level and your average time per hour while using the watch. You also get heart rate zone information that shows you how much activity you are doing.
The Charge bands are waterproof and comfortable. They give a good feel and a snug fit.
Charging the bands is very easy. Just attach the USB cord to the back of the band, turn on the power switch and you will be ready to go. I find that I can get it going on its own in about 30 seconds.
After the initial charge, there is an automatic pausing feature. This feature allows you to stop the device when you have reached your target in the steps goal and it will turn itself off.
There is also the LCD display on the bands, which shows you a variety of information. You can view your heart rate, calorie burning, daily activity level and the minutes per day you have worn the band.
Visit My blog and biggest complaint with the Fitbit Charge bands is that the battery lasts for about three days. I prefer other activity wearables because they last much longer.
I know that people who are into running, golf and other outdoor activities would not mind having to replace the battery on the Charge band. But for me, I would prefer a more functional piece of equipment that will actually help me stay motivated.
When I am using the Fitbit, I still feel motivated because I want to get more steps, but the constant reminder of not doing enough seems a bit far fetched. The Charge band is more like a motivational tool, which I can't say I really use, but it will keep me focused.
